  • I JUST SCHEDULED MY MOVE ONLINE. IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE I NEED TO DO?

    That’s it! If we need any additional information, we’ll contact you. As your moving day approaches, keep an eye on your email for important updates.

  • HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I SCHEDULE MY MOVE?

    We recommend scheduling as soon as you have a moving date in mind. Ideally, two weeks' notice is best, especially for weekend moves, but we strive to accommodate last-minute requests whenever possible.

  • I NEED TO OVERNIGHT MY ITEMS. CAN MOCKINGBIRD MOVING HELP?

    Yes! We can securely hold your items overnight in our truck for $150 per truck per night. This minimizes handling and reduces the risk of damage, as your belongings remain safely on our truck.

  • WHAT IF I NEED TO RESCHEDULE MY MOVE?

    Just let us know as soon as possible if your plans change. We understand that things come up, and we don’t charge a fee for rescheduling.

COST, PAYMENT, AND FEES

  • WHAT IS A TRAVEL FEE?

    We charge a flat-rate travel fee that covers the drive from our office to your home and back after the move. This lets us start and stop the clock at your location, saving you money.

  • ARE THERE ANY HIDDEN FEES?

    We believe in transparency. Our website lists all our fees, so you know exactly what to expect.

  • IS A DEPOSIT NECESSARY TO BOOK?

    No deposit is required to reserve your moving date.

  • WHEN DO I PAY FOR MY MOVE?

    Payment is due on-site immediately after we complete your move.

  • SHOULD I TIP MY MOVERS?

MOVE PLANNING

  • HOW MUCH CAN A MOCKINGBIRD MOVING TRUCK HOLD?

    Our truck can accommodate approximately 1,500 to 1,800 square feet of living space, depending on the amount of furniture and other items.

  • WHEN SHOULD I CONSIDER USING MORE THAN ONE TRUCK?

    A second truck may be necessary if your home is over 3,000 square feet or densely packed. We’ll help you determine the best plan for your move.

  • WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO KEEP THE COST OF MY MOVE DOWN?

    Preparation is key. Pack as much as possible into boxes, centrally locate items near entry points, and label boxes to ensure an efficient move.

  • WHAT IF IT RAINS OR THERE IS INCLEMENT WEATHER ON THE DAY OF MY MOVE?

    We move in all weather conditions and use protective materials like shrink wrap and blankets. If the weather is severe, we can pause the clock and wait for it to pass.

  • CAN MOCKINGBIRD MOVING UNMOUNT AND REMOUNT MY TV?

    We can help take your TV off the wall, but we do not handle the mounting or remounting.

  • CAN MOCKINGBIRD MOVE TO DISASSEMBLE AND REASSEMBLE MY FURNITURE?

    We can disassemble and reassemble basic furniture like bed frames and dining tables. However, we do not handle specialized items like Sleep Number beds or trampolines.

  • CAN MOCKINGBIRD MOVING DISCONNECT AND RECONNECT MY APPLIANCES?

    We do not handle water, electrical, or gas connections. Please ensure these items are disconnected before our arrival.

PREPARING FOR YOUR MOVE

  • ARE THERE ANY ITEMS THAT MOCKINGBIRD MOVING CAN’T PACK OR TRANSPORT?

    We cannot pack or transport sensitive items like medications, firearms, hazardous materials, jewelry, or essential documents. Please pack these items yourself and transport them separately.

  • HOW SHOULD I PREPARE MY ELECTRONICS AND TV FOR THE MOVE?

    If possible, pack electronics in their original boxes. TVs should be boxed to prevent damage. We sell TV boxes if needed.

  • I PLAN TO PACK MY BELONGINGS. IS THERE ANYTHING I SHOULD KNOW TO ENSURE A SAFE MOVE?

    Securely tape the bottoms of boxes, use bubble wrap for fragile items, and avoid overloading boxes. Label all boxes with their contents, the room they belong in, and whether they are delicate.

  • CAN I LEAVE ITEMS IN THE DRESSER DRAWERS?

    Yes, you can leave non-breakable items like clothing in drawers. We’ll secure them with blankets and shrink wrap for transport.
